Study Abroad
Due to the speed and convenience of modern transportation, communication and information sharing, the world has become much smaller making it essential for students to formulate a global perspective. Therefore, Rivendell’s IN-COMM program includes a study abroad component. In the third semester, each community of 30 students and 4 faculty will spend the Fine Arts module in Florence, Rome and Venice, Italy – the mecca of the High Renaissance period. What an incredible way to study, especially for today’s global-minded, adventuresome students! Experiencing the awe of the Sistine Chapel and the Statue of David in person cannot be captured in a book. As an added benefit, imagine the transcripts and resume students can develop as a result of their rich, cross-cultural experience.
