Our motto is “Come To Us First!”
Rivendell introduces IN-COMM education, where learning takes place withIN an authentic biblical COMMunity -- and failure is not an option! Our IN-COMM program is patterned after Jesus’ model of apprenticeship, where students never change classes, classmates or professors. All incoming freshmen are placed in small learning communities of 30 and joined by 4 exceptional faculty, all of whom remain together for their entire Rivendell education. As a result, the close support and attention we provide is unrivaled. Rivendell students are apprenticed in the fundamentals of learning and living – a lost art – with the end goal of not simply producing honor students but rather students of honor.
Rivendell students are led through a new and revolutionary Sequenced-Modular Curriculum, whereby the liberal arts and sciences are studied one subject at a time in a sequence that follows the Divine flow of the biblical narrative. The curriculum exceeds all the requirements for an Associate of Arts degree, fulfills the General Education requirements for most colleges and grants 72 credit hours of collegiate studies.
After completing the Rivendell program, students are qualified and prepared to transfer to the college of their choice to complete their vocational degree. Most importantly, students leave Rivendell with the academic, spiritual, moral and social foundations needed to excel in college and citizenship. The combination of Rivendell’s foundational training followed by vocational training gives students a complete education and equips them for true success in life.
